What’s included in the Entry Fee?
Equipment
The coach or manager of the team will pick up and sign for baseballs at the Pro Shop prior to the start of the season. Each team will be given twenty balls; two new balls will be given to the umpire prior to the start of each game. Umpires have been instructed to accept only new baseballs for league games. Should your team run out of baseballs, a new supply may be purchased from the ProShop.
Umpire Fees
Baseball USA will assign, schedule and reschedule qualified umpires for each of your games. The Umpires are the administrators of the game; please show them the courtesy that they deserve. This includes coaches, players, fans, and parents.
“No Play” Dates
Each team will receive two “no play” dates. Remember, that no play dates reduce the amount of play slots, therefore causing all teams in the league to play more than once a week. Teams are required to have these dates to the League Director by Wednesday, August 19th. If no dates are submitted the schedule will stand as published - no deviations.
Gate Fees
There are no gate fees for league games.
When will Games be scheduled?
All league games will be scheduled Monday thru Thursday at either 5:45pm, 6:00pm or 7:45pm. Teams will normally be scheduled one game per week; however, due to accommodating “no play” dates and rescheduling rainout games, occasionally there may be two games per week. If a team forfeits a game, that game will not be made up and will stand as played.
The High School League start times will be 5:45pm & 7:45pm.
Rainouts
If a game gets rained out, all efforts will be made to reschedule the game as quickly as possible, depending on availability of fields. It is possible that additional fields will be used if necessary.
Please check the rainout number for updates — 713-690-5564 x301.
What’s NOT included in the Entry Fee?
Team Insurance
Team insurance is not provided by Baseball USA. Proof of insurance must be provided before team participation can occur.
Practice Time/Field Rental & Batting Cages
Rental of fields will be on a first come, first serve basis. During the fall season the price of field rentals is $40/hr with a two hour minimum. Please note that when renting fields #10 & #11, only defensive practice is allowed - there is no repetitive hitting of any type allowed on either of these fields.
